Test For The Determination Of Percentage Of Bulking Of An A Fine Aggregate

The apparatus needed for this test Is Only 250 ml measuring cylinder.

Procedure for About test :- 


A dam sand  on soil-dated by shaking is poured  inner 250 ml measuring cylinder unit it reaches 200 ml mark then it fill with water and the sandy's stored well. In this option the sand should be in Submerged condition. The level of the surface of sand is noted say mark "y" ml then the percentage of bulking of the sand due to moisture is calculated as percentage bulking there for the percentage of bulking is given by
(200-y) * 100%
