How to store aggregate properly

Storage of Aggregate

    •          Aggregate should be stored saw that its self-draining and saw that  it doesn’t become contaminated with other materials
    •           If a clean hard base stock of pile are not immediately available then the layer of  less concrete should be placed in order to take water away from the stock pile
    •           Water away from the stock pile
    •           It should be away from the mixture
    •            It should be as longer as possible as this helps to ensure uniformity of moisture content
    •           Delivery should be allow to standing the stock piles for 12hr before use
    •           Avoid the aggregate in the lower part of the stock pile. sins dirt and water from the higher layers can accumulate there
    •             When its store different size partials should be stored separately

MOISTURE CONTENT

MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE AGGREGATE

Aggregate like many other granular material has the ability to retain water both begin and between its particle. The moisture content is the ratio of the mass of water to the mass of dry aggregate, express has a percentage the simplest method of determining the moisture content is to weight the sample of the aggregate in mixed dam state, and also after it has happen completely dry in oven . If the masses obtained are m1, m2

 Moisture content =   Mass of water             × 100%   =   (m1 - m2) ×100%
                                        Mass of dry aggregate                              m2

STIFFENER MEMBERS

STIFFENER MEMBERS

Stiffener members are used in block/brick wall masonry to have a proper bond/ strength between block wall and structural members. There are three types of stiffener members are used to stiff the structure.
 *Stiffener column
 *Stiffener beam
 *Lintel beam
Stiffener members were concreted after the block/brick masonry work was done up to a required level to have proper bonding between block/brick masonry.
Stiffener columns and beams were concreted with in-situ C30 (1:2:3) grade concrete and surface vibrator is used to concreted on the form-work.

STOOL

STOOL HEIGHT DESIGN

The vertical distance between layers rebar in slab was maintained by stool which are made by steels.
Designing stool height
Slab thickens = 135mm
Bottom covering = 25mm
Top covering = 25mm
Slab reinforcement diameter = 10mm
Sum of top and bottom Reinforcement diameter = 40mm ( T1+T2+B1+B2)
Stool height = 135 – (25+25+40)
Stool height = 85mm
T1 = top layer 1        B1 = bottom layer 1
T2 = top layer 2        B2 = bottom layer 2
